What God has separated, let no man join together
This is your chance to have your say against the metrosexual elite's engineering of society.
There is little real support for the legalisation of gay marriage and plenty of determined opposition. 529,685 people have signed the Coalition for Marriage Petition at the time of writing. (Do sign now if you haven't yet done so.) The Government has undertaken a consultation and it is important that the voice of reason is heard in response to it.
There is plenty of good information and guidance about the consultation: I recommend two sources in particular: the SPUC Briefing and Christian Concern which both give sound advice.
Here is a link to fill in the consultation online. It doesn't take very long. The deadline is 14 June but I am nagging you now so that you do not have your conscience nagging later because you didn't get round to it.

Dear Father,
I should welcome your advice on how to respond to this appalling and tendentious consultation.
For example, do you think faithful catholic respondents should even respond to questions about "sexuality", "gender identity", marital status, etc.? And how should we handle the false distinction between "civil" and "religious" marriage?
I am inclined to have nothing to do with the online form and write in on my own terms. What do you think?
Simon - I answered the questions about sexuality etc. because I think that it helps to get the stats right. I think on balance it is better to use the form so as to ensure that your reply is easily categorised. However you could also write on your own terms, especially to your local MP and to David Cameron.
Thank you for this post and for the links. I wasn't aware that the consultation document was online to enable people to express their concerns over this genderless marriage intention. I took you at your word and shared the link with others.
Thank you, Kim. The more people know about this, the better. It is quite quick and easy to respond to the consultation and it is good that Christians are pointed in the right direction so that they can have their say.
